Mistral Launches Mistral Large 4, Its Most Advanced AI Model

Mistral has introduced Mistral Large 4 (ML4), its largest and most capable AI model to date, with 1 trillion parameters and 49 billion active parameters. ML4 excels in coding, cybersecurity, finance, law, and multimodal understanding, outperforming other open-weight models globally. The model, trained on 3,800 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs in Europe, emphasizes AI sovereignty and cybersecurity autonomy. A public preview is available, with weights set to release by the end of October 2026. ML4 also supports multilingual capabilities across 160 languages, including all official EU languages.
